Daily Journal Continued October30,1998, By-William Thomas Thompson Niacin is a powerful blood stimulant that I fear may harm some. For people with highbloodpressure,I would be afraid to take it. I have low blood pressure and one capsule of 100mg felt like it was burning my blood from head to toe for 15minutes yet it didnothelp my ear ringing. Niacin is sold in healthfood stores and listed as a cure for such things in their directories and is available in a 500mg capsule which I consider dangerous. I could not believe the immediate effect of it,it is not a drug,it is listed as a dietary supplement made from whole rice concentrate and magnesiumstearate (nicotinic acid). Quote-"This product is suitable for individuals who adversely react to the common sensitizing substances of yeast milk wheat, soy, corn, gluten, egg, sugar, salt, nuts and artifical col-or or preservatives"(saltbase). Niacin retails for only4cents per capsule and is listed as a vitamin B-3"necessary part of the bod-y's pathway for making energy".Caution listed is"may cause a tem-porary flushing reaction, may aggravate certain medicalconditions, and may be contraindicated when certain medicines are used,consu-lt a physician before use". What crazy doctor would recommend any produce not in the drug controlledcircle where money is involved? In fact,I would guess that viagra would be made from the same ba-sic ingredient and being controlled they donot need to reveal the real ingredients. All it is said to do is to increase blood flow. I can stand on my head and increase the blood flow to my brain as I do daily because I have an up side down machine that I can lock my feet into and hang upsidedown for a few minutes. At first this seem to be too much for me but now I have been using it for years and it does not seem to be such a strain now. Many are dying tak-ing viagra but they still do it. Great awards were given to those that discovered it because it is the largest moneymaker ever was. I had no idea what God had in store for me,thank you LordmyGod. I drove up to Shoney's for breakfast so I can eat citrus fruit as I eat breakfast and it is always good. I then depart after a nice walk on their wonderful beach. I drive toward Orlando as my tran-smission is slipping bad. My speed is reducing as my motor is sp-inning,I leave the I-4 expressway to hunt a transmission shop and I am wondering what in the world I can do to fix it on a Friday,I drive through MountDora and have lunch at the local Jeremiah's in the center of town for another tuna fish sandwich and a long wait with alot of yankeetalk. I then drive South on hwy441 where I see an auto shop and stop in to talk to Joey from PuertoRico,Joey put a new switch on my car that controls the shifting of gears inside the transmission. Unfortunately this did not help so I spoke with Joey about changing the transmission out for a used one to get me going again, the car was stuck in second gear that may have caused the transmission to burn out yet you could not tell it by driving this car. This is another example of sorry cheap parts causing so many motorist big trouble on the road when a$5 switch causes this major damage and expense that nobody can afford. I knew by all of this now that I would not get far in this condition. I was in Ap-opka,Florida. Apopka is another Indian name that reminds me that this country really belongs to the Indian people where ever they are today. I drove South to I-4 at Winter park and saw a Holiday Inn. I had no cash to fix the car$550.00,I found a coupon$39.95.
